NSW Health Statewide Biobank has won the Government Sector Biorepository Award in the 2025 International Freezer Challenge

We are pleased to share that the NSW Health Statewide Biobank has won the Government Sector Biorepository Award in the 2025 International Freezer Challenge.

We are saving 57kWh per day.

This recognises our energy efficient cold-storage practices, documented process improvements and measurable reductions in power use and heat load across our biobank freezers. It is a strong proof point for NSW Health’s sustainability and operational excellence.
